1. Lunchtime in the Kettlewell village cafe, we had a bap and a coffee and some cake to re-energise.
2. A mossy tree hanging out.
3. Jake treated me with some of nature's blister pads from the local moss. Worked wonders.
4. A big stump.
5. We hiked through light snow and then heavy hail.
6. The ancient stone walls dividing grazing lands, a stone shed and hail covering the ground.
7. It was lambing season. All the mums were making it clear that we weren't to come near to their newborns.
8. Jake on the road, in his homemade winters hat and hiking poles.
9. Another one but this time with Jake and the stump!
10. What a pretty face.
11. We trumped many hours over the watershed in the rain. This is notoriously the wettest and hardest part of the trail. Photograph is of my feet upon arrival at camp.
12. Jake's foot after continuously being submerged in cold water.
13. Testing our cook system, you can read about it here (link to follow).
14. We had double dinners trying to remedy the shite day. Pietro had given us some of his gourmet ramen before he left, so we ate that as well as mac n' cheese.
