Tuesday 05th - Shotgun Mattress
- Free camping! - couldn’t pay. No cash, and wtf no one takes Mastercard in this country?
- Ibuprofen for breakie
- Knee pain gone
- Ferry to start enjoying the North Sea coast; first stop Middelburg for supermarket shopping. Cute town, recommend.
- Riding was lovely. Some good bridge crossings. Some nice windmills.
- Bit of a headwind.
- Almost made friends at camp kitesurfers. A young woman working there who’s name escapes me, she was from Cologne - needed you there Anton. She invited us for cards but the rest of her crew were confused by our presence as they were celebrating someone's birthday. Redeemed by cold beer and a fridge full of it. Pay in the morning type vibe.
- Shotgun mattress??? Was I sleeping on a landmine???
Made it the ten kilometres to the ferry crossing. Coffee and a cinnamon bun. Excited about the sections of riding to come.

Supermarket for lunch supplies. Double meat, double cheese, truffle aioli on a seeded bun. naat baad.
